The reason why I have chosen to write about London is because as well as it being home to me it is an interesting place for me to write about because off all the tourist attractions like big ben, Piccadilly circus, tower bridge, buckingham palace and the black cabs.

This link shows a sort of interactive leaflet about london, in this video it shows the most iconic places that are tourist attractions starting from big ben all the way to Piccadilly circus, as well as using buildings to attract tourists the advert uses people such as the "beefeaters" which are the queens bodyguards that stand outside Buckingham palace (they are easily identified by wearing red and wearing a black hat).

This next link is another sort of video for tourists but except it is more simpler than the first video, in this video it is more like a collage of different photos and videos of london. The photos show the tourist attractions of london (like big ben for example) and other places like city hall. The videos then show different things that happen further on in london like morris dancers for one example or parades that happen on a yearly basis.

This third link is like a little music video showing different places of london, in this music video it shows places like trafalgar square all the way to the skating park along embankment but really as well.
In conclusion to this blog article there are different ways to present london like in these three examples london is presented as a leaflet or a video created by the people who live in london or a music video created by the people in london to promote it on youtube so the rest of the world can see it.

advert evaluation
My advert was inspired by people who created homemade adverts on youtube, i mean like on the adverts that are on youtube there are scenes with different parts of london on there like in one scene there would be Big Ben then on the next scene there would be Buckingham Palace. So that is what helped me to develop my ideas and these adverts on youtube also inspired me to create an East London advert.
In total there were seven places that I went to, the seven places that I went to included places like Stratford, Ilford, Isle of Dogs (Crosshabour), Cutty sark (Greenwich), London buddhist centre, York hall and the childhood museum. I choose these locations mainly because they are easy for me to get to and they are my favourite places to go to and I used to go to these places when I was a child.
My contribution to this video production was an all in one, my roles included director, planner and location cordinator, basicaly i was busy to myself if that makes any sense.
The sound that i used were more songs, the songs that I have experimented my advert with are Farewell Ballad by Zakk Wylde, some Van Halen songs, some Yngwie Malmsteen, Satch Boogie by Joe Satriani and some Pantera/ Dimebag Darrell.
The gear that i used to create my advert with is very simple I used a:
. Standard video camera
. Tripod
. Camcoder
My strengths and weakness for my advert was hard to split into groups because I did have a lot of problems but it was just remembering them but in the end i just came up with this list
. Strengths: Use of transport
. Weakness: could not use cameras, the way the weather was and the amount of time i had at the location i was at. The alternate approaches i had to this is not to spend too much time at the locations/ spots i was at, try and more than one place done and try to get out early.
Whilst editing my advert i only used transitions and i think i inserted pictures in to it for the sake of putting pictures into my advert.
My advert would be shown mostly during daytime because that way i would have a wider audience and this way it would promote East London. I believe there is nothing in my advert that would cause controversy or harm and therefore would be passed by the ASA.
I guess the advert thati have created would be shown on any channel mainly because it has nothing that could be harmful to any actors (even tho there is no actors in my advert, just a voice over), there is no offensive language, anything sexist and there is definetly no racist language in my advert.
