beyond two souls

Whilst playing the game 'Beyond Two Souls',  I originally thought that it was a game because the game used actors Ellen Page and William Dafoe, so when the game came out it was sold like both movie and a game, but when you see these famous people featuring in games you would automatically assume that there was a film before the game being released so when you see the poster for the game, the graphics are so advanced that you would think that it was a movie not a game. Another thing to notice is that the game characters in the game look so realistic that the game characters look like the actors in real life. An example of another game from Quantic Dream who produce games that are like interactive movies would be 'Heavy Rain.'

Whilst playing this game I noticed that the game's narrative is more like a movie because of how the game is presented, but the only problem with the game is that there is not enough game play for the gamer to enjoy, so this shows that the game is more like a movie. The narrative in this game can go on a bit too long with some of the missions mainly because of the out of body experience and also getting used to the controls can be a bit hard. This gameplay also focuses on point and click all the time so the makers of the game mostly concentrate on the interactive narratives.
