The form of this advert is realist narrative, the reason for this is because it uses real actors and it has a narrative and the narrative behind it is that if you drink pepsi then i suppose it gives you energy to move round more and aswell seen as it uses celebrity endorsement because michael jackson is featured in the advert, if you drink pepsi you could probably have the energy to dance like him.
The codes and conventions for this advert are that the lighting for this advert are natural because instead of being filmed in a studio it was filmed outside, reflectors were used as you can see in this screenshot there is more light behind the child with the pepsi can, the music that was used in the advert was the song Billie jean by michael jackson. The location of where this advert is in the year 1982 in Brocklyn, the camera in the advert uses different angles ranging from full body shots to close up shots, but the advert focuses more on half body shots and close up shots.
The target audience of this advert would be fans of pepsi or michael jackson or just young people.
The unique selling point for this product would be using the music of Michael jackson.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2oL_gXECtg The second advert that i am talking about was shown last year or maybe earlier this year, but the genre of this advert is horror and the idea or the style of the advert was taken from the film "the grudge"( this an example of intertextuality), which is about a dead girl who is a ghost and haunts people, but anyway this advert was a phone advert from the company "phones for you", and the reason why i think that this company has chosen to do a sort of grudge styled advert is because it is not a regular kind of advert that we see all the time, it is a sort of advert that is new to the audience and would bring more viewers in to see what the product is being advertised.
The codes and conventions for this advert should be very easy to analyse because firstly the lighting, seen as this advert was filmed in a car park this may also suggest that this advert was filmed in a studio not in the natural environment like the michael jackson advert where they used natural sunlight and reflectors to brighten it up, but in this ad seen as the girl that is holding the phone looks like the ghost from the film " the grudge" the producers may have thought of to give it that dull depresing look by dimming the lights down to make the advert look very different from a phone advert.
The ad uses just one main colour which is just grey mainly because most phone adverts are fairly colourful and i suppose this one would go away from the colourful idea and would take this one to the grave to give it a dull look.
The form for this advert is anti realist, and it also has no narrative to it, it is just a grudge styled advert just to sell phones.
The target audience for this advert could probably be are people who like gadgets or people or the younger generation of people. And the unique selling point in this advert would be using the style of the film to promote the product.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NLsRyEu8xI This third advert is an emotional advert and this is one of the cruelty to children adverts or a charity advert as it is formally known as. This is an emotional advert because firstly the way that the advert is put together, and the way the people act now this is what makes the advert 50 percent sad because they way that the pearents are acting towards their own kids. Secondly in a lot of these adverts they always show the children at the camera and this is the other 50 percent sadness because the way that the child looks strickes emotion like a bullet in your eyes (the advert is using emotive language), so when we see the children in the advert it makes us want to give money to the charity.

The form for this advert is a sort of documentary mainly because it is an insight to the homes of child cruelty, as you can see by this screenshot it shows what the affects results of child cruelty are.
The style of this advert is dramatic because of the way that it shows the children that are affected and the age that they are being affected for example the youngest age that children are being affected are like at the age of 1 or something.
The codes and conventions that were used in this advert was light, now going by this screenshot the lighting was at half power, but it looks like very powerful because all of the colour in the picture has been drained so it gives that depressed colour so it puts you into the victims shoes, the camera focuses on close up shots mainly because it shows the scared side of them and it shows their vunerable side of them.
The target audience for this advert would mostly be aimed at families or animal lovers.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4FAuMeQqYI This advert is for the game for guitar hero 5 van halen, this is a game trailer that was shown on Feburary 19th 2010 for europe, in my opinion this genre of advert is well another music advert but it is a rock advert. The target audience for this game is most probably fans of either Van Halen or fans of rock music from any bands like acdc and other bands. the form of this advert is animation because the whole game is c.g.i (computerised generated images) and this has been used for every other guitar hero game since.
The lighting in this game is the same lighting that you get when at a real live concert. What is interesting about the lighting is that it is mostly round the back of the game characters for example in this screenshot it shows eddie van halen as a computerised generated image (c.g.i) and as well in this screenshot there is lighting used at the back and that is used to highlight the character so either he or she stand out, or in this case if eddie was performing one of his solos the back lights would be used to highlight him.
the form of this game is animation mainly because it aint real, well the characters are. and with this game there is no narrative (basicaly there is no story to the game) all you do in the game is play their songs to get a high score.
This game does not use celebrity endorsement because the game does not feature them, it is about them and their music basicaly Van Halen are the game.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmMidL8KUOE This advert is for the game prototype 2, this game was realeased in 2012 and was published by Activison.

The form of this advert is animation mainly because the game is c.g.i ( computerised generated images) but in this case the screen shot was taken from a live action trailer of prototype 2 and this probably this has an anti realist narrative, because firstly this game is fiction (it is not real) but it does have a story, and the story of this game is that james heller is infected with the virus known as blacklight, and looks for Alex mercer to kill him.
The codes and conventions for this advert are that firstly the lighting is different in the different scenes of the advert for example in the advert the lighting starts off dim, then in the next scene the lighting is much more powerful to make a certain scene stand out, then finally the lighting goes back to being dim again. The camera angles are quite interesting because one of the camera shots are inside the human body and is showing what happens to the blood cells once heller is infected, but the camera shots focuses on either close up shots or mid shots for example in this screenshot this is an example of mid shot.
The target audience for this sort of game would probably be fans of the gory genre of games and fans of action and adventure games.
The slogan of this advert is " the power of revenge".
Advertising regulation: The A.S.A ( advertising standards agency) is an organisation that has to deal with adverts that have the advertising of tobacco, alcohol and sexual content in adverts and some of the ads that they deal with are, Examples: the Beyonce heat perfume ( this was classed as too sexual because it was shown before the watershed), the Barnardos 60 second advert ( had drugs, violence and domestic violence which people found offensive) and the tango advert because (it was renowned as harmful to the public because someone actually tried this and died).
